New York, Paris, Milan, and London might be done with their round of Fashion Weeks this season, but Australia's just getting started. Right now on the streets of Sydney, international and Aussie bloggers, editors, buyers and industry influencers are hitting Carriageworks, the home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA).
We’re only a few days into the yearly, week-long event, and already the outfits on the sidewalk are almost outshining the runway. There has been a real eclectic mix of styles this year, and a serious 70's vibe with everything from clashing prints, bell bottoms and uneven hemlines, a real mish mash. We love to support all things related to Australian style/fashion and there’s a lot to love about fashion down under—even if the week doesn’t quite get the same amount of attention as it’s American and European counterparts.
Of course there's the street fashion set then there are the clothes. Sure, Australia didn’t produce Chanel, but when it comes to fresh, fun, wearable yet interesting style, no one does it better than the Aussies. xx
